Assignment Question
This assignment is our first attempt at writing QALMRI Papers. Remember that QALMRI Papers are both expository and argumentative. Your paper should be neatly organized into sections, and in each section, you will write complete English sentences. QALMRI papers involve analyzing a target empirical study, which is attached below. QALMRI Papers are 1500 words maximum.
• Question: What is the question that the target study is answering? How are they operationalizing the question to make it empirically testable?
• Alternatives: What are (all) the possible answers to the question?
• Logic: Given the alternatives, what results would you predict for each? •
Methods: How did the researchers design the experiment? Who participated? What controls were utilized?
• Results: What was observed? What did the researchers measure and why?
• Inference: How do the results speak to both the predictions made and the question raised?
