This week provided you with a review of the considerations with clinical supervision in psychology, approaches that may be used, and practices that are included in the clinical supervision relationship.

For this assignment, you will consider the various approaches and suggested practice(s) of clinical supervision, and then develop a PowerPoint presentation intended to inform graduate students about clinical supervision and to discuss selected approaches that they may encounter in clinical supervision.

In the slides, be sure to cover the following points:

Define clinical supervision in psychology and the considerations to make when establishing clinical supervision in psychology. Examine why clinical supervision is important and necessary (considering best practices for supervision provided by our reading[s]). Evaluate when a particular clinical supervision approach is warranted and why; these are presented in your weekly material, and then compare and contrast at least two approaches, their use and practice, effectiveness, and limitations. Be prepared to use the NCU Library resources and databases to obtain additional, needed research on the selected approaches.

Length: 12-15 slides (not including title and reference slides); 150-200 words for speaker notes. Speaker notes must provide context and narrative to the points captured in the slides, where slides are concise and brief (typically, bullet points and professional, neutral imagery are appropriate), presenting points that are to be covered more in-depth in the notes and the presentation itself.
