Students will be required to critique a recorded lesson observation, learning design and key pedagogical practices in mathematics education in the UAE context
Analyse the lesson observation with regards to the following: classroom environment, evidence of student engagement, methods of teacher-student and student-student expression, and student inclusion (diversity of learners) in the mathematics classroom, opportunities for students to engage in real-life applications of mathematics.
Relate the observation to their own classroom experience and to professional teaching standards.
Support the critical review with relevant references – peer reviewed articles, seminal work, key authors in the field.
