submit a essay on a music video, I chose “reckless driving” by Lizzy McAlpine. Ill link the grading rubric and requirements aswell.
Here is a rough guideline of how I want the intro, body and conclusions.
Intro paragraph
– First sentence- title of video and artist (year as well)
– a few sentences summarizing the music video
– thesis- the message of the video
Body paragraphs
– Images/visuals (color, symbols, setting, costumes, camera style, etc.)
– Music (loud/soft, fast/slow, instruments, absence of sound, etc.)
– Lyrics (quote lines that show the thesis)
Conclusion paragraph
– Discuss the video’s effect on the audience
– re summarize the points and thesis/message
essentially analyze every aspect of what it could mean. I believe its about a new young relationship and the excitement and complexities that come with it.
