Three Sections Section One – Literature Review Educate me about your CJ policy. This introduction to your final paper will need to be written using APA format, with a minimum of three references. Additional references may, and probably should, be utilized.
Please avoid plagiarism in the literature review by making sure to cite your sources using in-text citations.
Assume that most things are not common knowledge and that the reader of your paper is not a CJS professor. Assume that Professor B knows nothing about your topic. Likewise, a properly formatted list of your sources, written in APA style will be required.
The title page and references will not count towards the required page limit. You do not need to write an abstract for your paper. Again, citing one’s sources, using APA format (in-text citations), is expected.

Plagiarism is to be avoided!! That said, each paper should have no more than one quote per every two pages = basically no more than 2-3 quotes. Things to touch upon: Introduction – what IS the policy? Explain it to me… History and background of the policy Pros/Cons — Strengths/Weaknesses of the policy Current Issues / Controversies relating to the policy Section Two – Application of Theory After the policy has been, analyze the policy using a minimum of four different theories from this class, representing at least three different broad categories (Choice, Trait, Structural, Social Process, Conflict or Life Course Theories).
Because students have essentially been writing their final paper the entire semester, you ARE allowed to cut and paste from your previous theory papers (assuming that you are using material that garnered a high grade).
As with the initial theory papers, do not use theorists from the Overview Notes in Canvas. Only use assigned readings, with the exception of Lombroso and Adler who were both found to be inaccurate.

What do YOU think? Overall, is the policy you researched supported by theory? Does the data/research/theory support continuation of your policy?? Or, would you suggest that there isn’t enough data/research/theory to support your policy? Justify your answer. Format Your paper should be written in the following format: Double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.25 in margins.
Use APA when referencing outside information (*using in-text citations) and format your paper with a title page. All references used to create section one of your paper should be included in a “references” page at the end.
Information and ideas from the theories and our textbook do NOT require in-text citations nor do they need included on the reference page.
Papers should be no less than 4.5 full pages which does not include a title page or reference page.
