Paper: People sometimes say that all religions are basically alike — that they are all just different paths to the same goal. take a position on this issue and defend it with a discussion of some of the religions we have considered in this course. (You should include at least one Abrahamic religion and one that is not an Abrahamic Religion.) This will require you to consider what the true goal of religion is. In your paper you need to cite at least one primary religious text and one secondary source (i.e., something written about the religion). P

roper citation for these sources is very important. Any direct quote must have quotation marks around it and complete information for where it was found. For a book this means author, title, publisher, place of publication, date of publication, edition, and page number. Passages that are taken from somewhere else but not quoted word for word must be cited the same way but without being included in quotation marks. You may find it useful to consider Ninian Smart’s 6 dimensions of religion and how they show up in various traditions. This could allow for a discussion of the ways in which all religions are similar and the ways in which they differ. Your paper must be at least 1500 word of text (footnotes, bibliography, and title page are not counted). It should be submitted as an attachment in Word or Word Perfect. (PDF will be accepted ifthe others are not available for you.)
