Does research using qualitative methods (grounded Theory, ethnography, and phenomenology) have more impact?

Neyda The ethnographic study depends on what the researcher wants to major on in the study they are investigating, and it helps in the comprehension of certain phenomena and gives a description of the particular reality that are directed to individuals involved in a certain study(Jamali,2018). The approach of ethnography targets the research to give a quality objective of the grounded Theory; this is through the description and interpretation of specific culture. In the case of grounded theory, the researcher carefully gets a hypothesis that is used in the description of empirical cultural data that is used in the testing of quantitive research designs. Ethnographers study the complexity of the cultures that entails the changes in lifestyle and behaviour of a community. Grounded Theory is used to focus on the procedure of the connections of various stages of the Theory in general. For instance, the study to learn the experiences that affect patients’ psychology when they are suffering from a certain disease(Bamkin, Maynard & Goulding,2016). The data collected helps in determine the emotional and psychological experiences that various patients undergo during different times. The questions are used to answer the reasons that cause different changes experienced by social groups. Ethnography is different from grounded Theory because it involves the comprehension of the individuals in correspondence to their culture; therefore, ethnographers mainly engage in the way of life of the people involved. Grounded Theory other hand explains the major categories of the research based on the behaviour of the individuals involved to measure a certain event or phenomena. In the reviewal of the two methodologies; in grounded Theory the researched is not allowed to look into the literature before doing the study for fear of being influenced by the previous studies done by various scholars. In the ethnographic study, the researcher is allowed to look into different conceptual literature before carrying out the study so that they can have the idea of what they are studying. The two researchers are used in the study of phenomena in natural settings, and many datasets are collected to enhance the clarity of the research. Presentation of the results found out in the natural context is made in the two methodologies. References Bamkin, M., Maynard, S., & Goulding, A. (2016). Grounded Theory and ethnography combined.
