Are you a Confucian, a Taoist, neither, or both? When making your case, be sure to critically discuss:
(1) Confucianisms and Taoisms differing conceptions of the Way/the Dao
(2) Why ritual propriety is important for a Confucian; why emulation of the Dao (cosmic emulation ism) and the principle of non action [wuwei] are important for a Taoist
The paper should draw only on the Analects of Confucius and the Darjeeling of Mozilla. Michael Putt’s The Path may also be cited. Do not consult any other outside sources.
