This essay will be more general and focus on what the student learned with regard to the financial institutions and their origins discussed in the book, The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson.
The report should conclude with how the information learned will impact the student’s financial future and choices. Just answer the following questions:
What did you learn from this course and how will this affect your future financial decisions?
Has taking this course changed your opinion about money and all the financial institutions we looked at and if so how?
Some students have difficulty in approaching such an open-ended assignment. If you are unsure what to write, you may use the following guidelines:

2 things you learned from the book or class which you didn’t know before
1 question the material raises for you and what you discovered (i.e. What is the answer to your own question.)
You are not required to follow these guidelines. I only put this here to help some students who may be confused as to what the content of the report should be.
Conclusions should relate to how what you learned has changed your perspective on the importance of finance and money in your life and what impact it will have on your future financial decisions. In your conclusion you may want to include how your culture (the environment in which you grew up – country, family, culture, history) has had an impact on how you make financial decisions and how this may help or hinder you in securing your financial future.
This report should also be about 1000 words. (2-3 pages) Do not use a title page. As this is more of an opinion essay, you do not need to include any citations unless you include quotes or information from experts to support your opinions. You do not need to put your name and Id number on the paper.
