Can any element in the Platonic notion of “the good” be preserved in the Aristotelian moral universe? The most effective responses to this question will: (a) develop briefly one aspect of the good as it appears in the Republic and (b) concentrate on a sharply limited topic drawn from the array of positions discussed in the Nicomachean Ethics.
