This briefing should provide the following information for the Minister of Health:Executive Summary (10 marks): One-page overview of the key information from each section. This includes the points already raised in PART 1 but adds the following (a) what our legislative/policy approaches are, and (b) what you recommend that we need to change.Sections from PART 1 cleaned up (20 marks): Evidence that you have paid attention to the markers feedback from PART 1.Overview of legislation & policies regulate use (40 marks): Indicates the legislation/act regulating this drug (i.e., it is legal? Illegal? Which Acts states this?), the policies or strategies shaping our approach to this drug (i.e., which policy documents outline or approach to supply control & demand reduction?), and evidence as to whether these are effective or not at reducing harms and misuse (i.e., have we seen rates of drug use or drug-related harms go down since these policies were enacted?).Recommendations: A new direction for this drug (25 marks): This is a single-page on which you identify which policy approaches and health approaches we are doing OK on (in comparison to other countries) and what legislation/polices/approaches we should change in order to reduce harm more effectively.Appendix (5 marks): This is where you can place your references you have used in your briefing document.spacerWord limit for this assessmentThe word limit for this briefing is 2,000 words (excluding your references).
