Since social media sites have taken on journalistic responsibilities, and have encouraged users to use the site to gather news, should they edit the content? How does fake news foment divisions? How do social media sites use algorithms to pinpoint advertisements directed to particular individuals? What does it mean to say that a group or individual has “weaponized” a social media site? What do “Data Brokers” do? How did Cambridge Analytica, a data broker, use users’ data to influence the 2016 election? Write about anything that interested you in the documentary.
