Write an essay on Representations of Women in Angela Carters Wise Children and Bram Stokers Dracula. Specifically the characters Nora and Dora Chance in Wise Children, and Lucy Westenra and Mina Harker in Dracula.A compare and contrast essay on the above women in both books. Would like to talk about the roles of Feminism in both books, how they are perceived to men, how the authors dealt with feminism at the time. Bram Stoker was around the time of the ‘new woman’, women’s rights were beginning to be known, people were concerned about women’s sexuality. Angela Carter’s Chance sisters are different, they don’t need men, they are a different type of feminism.
