Write a muscle tension dysphonia

A written assignment worth 25 points will be due in Blackboard by Midnight (12:00 AM CST) on Tuesday, 11/22. You will select a specific voice disorder or pathology and write about: muscle tension dysphonia
1. Etiology of the disorder/pathology
2. Typical case history
3. Typical voice evaluation findings for your disorder/pathology via
a. Visual imaging (remarking on laryngeal anatomy and true vocal fold edge, color, mucosal wave,
excrescence, and closure as well as any hyperfunction – primary or secondary) AND
b. Auditory-perceptual assessment with the CAPE-V analysis (include all parameters even if some are WNL)
4. Recommendations for therapy that are appropriate to the condition you have selected (BE SPECIFIC).
This must be submitted electronically via an assignment in Blackboard. This paper must be 5-7 pages, double-spaced, in 12-pt Times New Roman font with 1-inch document margins. References must be in APA style and your citations throughout your paper need to be in APA style as well. You must include at least 5 references in your document. Your references must be from peer-reviewed sources. You may have as many as you choose, but there must be at least 5 and our class textbook does not count as one of those 5 sources. Please let me know if you have any questions about this information. Additionally, I do require that you list page numbers and your last name in the top right header on each page of your document (i.e., Dueppen 2). Finally, your title should be centered on the first page only. You do NOT need to include: cover/title page, abstract, running head, or subheadings.
You must choose your disorder/pathology topic by 10/13. Only three students can research the same topic. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis only. You may email your choices to me at adueppen@lamar.edu before class on 10/13. Official topic assignments will be confirmed via email. See rubric for more specific information.
